Ali Ahmed Al-Baghli

One of the most prominent figures in Kuwait's legal and political life is Ali Ahmed Al-Baghli, who, having studied in Kuwait and in the Brunei Univerat a very young age, became Assistant General Attorney in the Kuwait Judicial Courts.

A couple of years later, he became the Assistant Legal Advisor to the Kuwait National Petroleum Company.

Thereafter, he was elected Member of the Parliament of the Kuwait National Assembly. And it was in 1992 that Mr. Al-Baghli became the Minister of Oil of Kuwait.

He has also been senior partner at the Al Baghli & Al Molah Law Firm and then in 2004, he became the senior partner and managing director of his own company, Al Al-Baghli Law Firm in Kuwait.

A member of the Kuwait Lawyers Association, Minister Al-Baghli is also member of the Kuwait Journalists Association in his capacity as writer and columnist in Al Qabas (Daily Arabic Language Newspaper), Arab Times and Al-Zaman Magazine.

Minister Al-Baghli is also a board member of the Kuwait Association of the Defense of Human Rights and a board member "INDICT" Organization in London, as well as a Honorary Legal Advisor to H.E. The British Ambassador to Kuwait.
