Meyrav Wurmser

Dr. Meyrav Wurmser is a Senior Fellow and Director of the Center For Middle East Policy at the Hudson Institute. She received her Ph.D. in political science from George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where she wrote on Ze’ev Jabotinsky and the Israeli Revisionist Movement. She has taught political science at both Johns Hopkins University and the United States Naval Academy. From 1998 to 2001, she served as founding member and Executive Director of the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI).

A frequent guest on radio and television, Wurmser has written numerous books and articles about Israel, the Arab World, and Zionism. Her most recent book is The Schools of Ba'athism--a Study of Syrian Schoolbooks (Washington, D.C., MEMRI, 2000). Her piece, "Can Israel Survive Post-Zionism?" was the lead article in the March 1999 issue of Middle East Quarterly. Wurmser also has published articles in the Middle East Journal and Middle East Insight.
