PHARMACOLOGY
QUINE is a syiieigistic combination of an aitemisinin derivative and a new
bisquiiioline compound;
It is active against the asexual foiins of plasm odium,schiqoiits aiid gametocytes. Its action on scliizonts insures a rapid decrease oi pathogenic parasitaemia which leads to a quick disappearance of clinical signs; its action on gametocytes prevents coitaminatioii.
The absorption of QUINE after oral intake is rapid and complete; it is
extensively distributed in all tissues.
Half life of DHA is very short (around 2 hours) whereas PPQ is long (around 9 days)

INDICATIONS
QIJINE is indicated for the treatment of all kinds of malaria,as long as patients
call take oral medications. It is particularly recommended in the case of multi-i.esistant
Plasmodium lalciparum malaria.

Over Dosage:Not clear
Pregnaney & Lactation and presentation: The pregiiate women with 3 months are prohibited
The later pregnant women nursing mouthers should be taking this medicine under the
physician's OTitictioiis.
