What is an air spring bag strut? -Sometimes called air spring, air shock absorber, air bag or bellows.

Traditional pillars use steel coil springs, but air pillars use air spring bags or bellows. This makes the ride more comfortable and allows the driver to better control the ride height.

The most common cause of failure of air spring struts is dry rot of air spring bags. Because as time goes by, the rubber has been used for a long time, and it begins to deteriorate and cause leakage. When this happens, the rubber airbag can no longer maintain the air pressure. Leaking rubber airbags can also cause failure of the pillars on which they are installed.

The second factor in the failure of the air pillar is the pillar itself. The strut is pressurized by the fluid, and if the strut starts to fail, it will no longer have the same pressure to hold the vehicle. If the system starts to malfunction, an obvious sign is that your vehicle will be below the factory height. If the air support is not replaced in time, the air suspension compressor will also be damaged and malfunction.
