Nuoten Brand New Whetstone Sharpening Stone 3000/8000 Grit Combination Corundum Whetstone Knife Sharpening Stone
Product Description:
3000/8000 Grit
Material: Corundum Whetstone w/ Silica Gel Base
Size of the Whetstone: ~180mm x 60mm x 27mm (7" x 2.4" x 1.1")
Product features:
1. Premium grade corundum waterstone ensures effective sharpening
results
2. Double-sided sharpening design (3000 grit coarse grinding and
8000 grit fine grinding).
3. Equipped with a silica gel non-slip base that ensures safe
sharpening.
Using Instruction:
Soak the stone in the water for 5 minutes and then put it on a steady surface such as a table or desk.
Sharpening the knives with one or two steps is decided by the
dullness of the blade.
Step 1: 3000 coarse grit is used to repair a very blunt edge and is
suitable for dull knives. Hold the knife
at an angle of 10 - 30 ° and grind the edge on the surface of stone back and forth with gentle pressure
until the edge sharpness meets your standards.
After sharpening the tool it is recommended to hone the blade with 3000 coarse grinding after 6 months.
Of course, this depends on the use of the blade and user frequency
will vary.
Step 2: 8000 grit fine grinding is a necessary step to eliminate
burrs on the edge. Use more gentle
pressure, repeat step 1, and repair the edge until it has a smooth
and fine edge.
General speaking, use the 8000 grit once a week to keep your blade
sharp.
Wipe the stone with a wet cloth or rinse it with water after
sharpening the tool and then dry with a clean
towel. Clean the stone surface with a soft brush and leave it in an open area to dry thoroughly before
storing.
