Asphalt tanks heating source was from diesel oil burner, which heated thermal oil through serpentine heating coils, meanwhile, the exhaust flue heating the asphalt directly.

They are used at hot mix asphalt plants, asphalt terminals, and asphalt roofing plants.

Cylinder shape asphalt heating tank main components

Mainly include tank body(including insulation layer), diesel burner, built-in combustion chamber (including thermal oil jacket layer), multirow flue and thermal oil coils, asphalt pump, thermal oil circulation pump, thermal oil expansion tank, asphalt temperature control system, thermal oil temperature control system, liquid level meter, pipeline and asphalt pump heat tracing system, asphalt entrance and exit, climbing ladder, switch box and discharge manger.

Working principle

The device has a built-in combustion chamber with a thermal oil jacket layer, and the multirow of flue and the thermal oil coil. The thermal oil is heated by the flame in the jacket layer, then the hot thermal oil is pumped and passed through the coil to heat the asphalt, meanwhile, the hot exhaust also heat the asphalt through the multirow flue, so the two methods including the high temperature flue and the hot thermal oil coil heat the asphalt at the same time.

1. Suitable for rapid heating of matrix asphalt.

2. Self-heating integrated structure, easy to install, convenient to move and transfer, saves the transportation cost and occupied space of the external thermal oil boiler.

3. Equipped with Baltur diesel oil burner, features stable performance, low fault rate and less energy consumption. The start and stop of the burner is automatically controlled by both temperature of the asphalt and the thermal oil.

4. Built-in combustion chamber, the heat of the chamber is directly absorbed by the asphalt in the melting tank, which makes the heat transfer more directly, saving the heat lost by the split thermal oil boiler and the connecting pipe, so the heat loss is smaller.

5. The combustion chamber was wrapped by the overall thermal oil jacket. The contact with the asphalt is the thermal oil jacket layer instead of a flame combustion chamber, so the asphalt does not overheat and aging.

6. High temperature thermal oil can supply heat tracing of asphalt pump and asphalt pipeline.
