API Standard Oil Drilling Surface Wellhead Equipment Tubing Head

Product Descrption

Tubing head (n.) – Equipment attached to the casing spool used to hang the tubing (smallest casing string) and seal the annulus between the tubing and casing.

These tubing heads are available in both slip style for pumping wells or mandrel style for gas well applications, in multiple connection types and packing types. High temperature elastomers can be ordered on request.

Bottom Connections Bolt-through flange, studded flange and clamp-hub connections are available. The type and pressure rating used must match the top flange of the previous casing spool or crossover flange. Bolt-through flange connections are the most popular and economical type of connection in certain parts of the world. Clamp-hub connections are sometimes specified, because they are much faster to make up and because they reduce the diameter and weight of the assembly when space limitations are present.

TUBING HEAD FUNCTIONS

Attaches above the Casing Head or Spool and seals off the production casing. Supports the blowout preventer while the well is being completed. Allows for testing of the blowout preventer while drilling. Housing for tubing hanger and seal assembly and suspends the production tubing stringIntegral lock screws hold down tubing hanger.Side outlets for annular access.

5)All stell tanks are welded with staintess stell for long-term anti-corrosion.
6)Used for high-pressure drilling, in conjunction with flat valve for preventing blowout and connecting BOP.

7)High temperature elastomers available on request.
8)Unique V-Style rubber packing ring which energizes under pressure to provide superior seal in slip flange style.
