Product Description:
Polymer membrane material is the core material of this technology. When pressure is applied, nitrogen can pass quickly, while another gas is difficult to pass through the membrane.Membrane materials is a kind of hollow fibers with high surface area to bring the high processing rates for high bolometric gas.
The membrane has the characterisitics of selective permeability.We use its selective nature of passing through the gas to separate the gas.
The rate of permeation of each gas go through the polymeric membranes is determined by its solubility, and the rate of diffusion through the molecular free volume in the membrane material. The high solubility gases in the nitrogen membranes, and gases that are small in molecular size, permeate faster than larger, less soluble gases.
Fast Gases and Slow Gases
"Fast" gases permeate through the nitrogen membrane wall more readily than "slow" gases, thus separating the original gas mixture into two streams. The purity of the desired streams can be adjusted by changing the operating conditions.
The ability of a nitrogen membranes to separate two gases is determined by the ratio of permeabilities of the two gases. The higher the selectivity, the more efficient the separation and less energy is needed.
