Gabion Wire Mesh Introduction:

Gabion, is a kind of heavy duty hexagonal wire netting. It is known as gabion basket, gabion box.Gabion is made of hexagonal wire mesh, the wire diameter is basis on the different sizes of hexagonal. If the wire is zinc coated the wire diameter should be 2.0mm to 4.0mm, If it is PVC coated, the wire should be 3.0mmto 4.5mm.Then the edge wire should be thicker one size gauge than the hexagonal mesh wire.

Gabion Wire Mesh material:

a. Hot dip galvanized: 40-60g, 245g ,270g zinc coated.
b. PVC/PE coated: This provides a overall increase in diameter of 1mm to all wires used

c. Galfan: 95% zinc, 5% aluminium

Gabion wire mesh various characteristics:

(1) Economic. Just fill the stone into the gabions and seal it.
(2) Simple installation. No special technology needed.
(3) Weather proof under natural destroy, corrosion resistant.

Gabion boxes applications:

It can be mainly used in supporting and protecting of side slope and basis pit, mountain rock hanging mesh, green guard rail netting on side slope, railway guard rail netting, and highway guard rail netting. Heavy hexagonal mesh also can be worked into stone cage or stone cushion, and used in reservoir, river or dyke for closure.
