AISI 440C stainless steel balls provide maximum hardness, toughness and dimensional stability. They are highly resistant to rolling contact fatigue. 440C stainless steel ball is used under hardened conditions, its performance is similar to tool steel, and it is an ideal choice for anti-wear bearings (rolling bearings).

Characteristics
440C stainless steel balls reach the highest hardness after heat treatment: Rockwell C 58 to 62. The Hartford 440C stainless steel ball is passivated to remove free iron contaminants and facilitate spontaneous formation of a protective passive film.

Corrosion resistance
440C stainless steel balls generally have excellent resistance to weak acids, strong alkalis, food, fresh water and air.

Hardness
Rockwell C 58-62 is measured on parallel plates.

Size
The size is from 1mm to 50.8mm, and the grade is from 10 to 1000.
