Name: Go gauge for caps on finished lamps

PURPOSE:

To check the maximum dimensions of the screw thread and dimenslon minimum of E12 cops
on finished lamps.
TESTING:

When the cap on finished lamps has been screwed into the gauge aa far as it will go, the
centre contact shall touch surface X. When the lamp is being removed from the gauge, at least two full
turns shall be required to disengng the threads.
This gauge should be uaed only in conjunction with the gauge specified on sheet 7006-27J.

PURPOSE: To check lamp dimensions particularly the combination of cap length and bulb shoulder shape,
for contact-making in n lampholder.
TESTING: The shnpe of the lamp, with regard to the fit in the lamphalder, is assumed to be correc
if the lamp can be pushed into the gauge until surface reaches aurface or projects beyond it

PURPOSE:

To check the minimum outside (mejor) diameter of the screw thread, dimension d, of E12 caps on
finished lampg.
TESTING:

When the gauge is placed over the thread of the cap on a finished lamp, held cap uppermost,
the centre contact shall not project beyond surface.
Only the mass of the gnuge itself, shall be used in the test.

Additional go gauge for caps on finished lamps
PURPOSE:

To check the maximum outaide (major) diameter, dimension d, of E12 caps on finiahed lamps.
TESTING:

The gauge shall pass over the threnda of the cap. The maximum force used shall not exceed 4.5N
This gauge should be used only in conjunction with the gauge specified on aheet 7006-27H.
