Monel 400 Pipe is low in strength in the annealed condition so, a variety of tempers may be used to increase the strength. The presence of Monel 400 Seamless Pipe can lead to galvanic corrosion. For example if aluminum, zinc, or iron are used as Monel fasteners and then exposed to certain conditions, the Monel Bolts will quickly corrode. Monel 400 Welded Pipe (NA13, N04400) offer strength, hardness and corrosion resistance with good fabrication capabilities. Monel 400 ERW Pipe can easily be welded by gas-tungsten arc, gas metal arc or shielded metal arc processes using appropriate filler metals.
