ST368 smart data concentrator is dedicated to Smart Metering application and designed as a gateway between metering devices and AMR/AMI system, ST368 creates two ways communication from metering points to AMR/AMRI system, performs task setting, data collection, data transmission and data storage, meter management, GPRS information task execution and RF network management.

Concentrator devices are central connection point devices that connect terminals, computers, or communications devices.It becomes the central point at which cables meet.In a number of terminal dense areas, in order to reduce communication lines, the terminal is connected to the concentrator first, and then the concentrator is connected to the communication controller of the computer through high-speed lines. Therefore, the concentrator is also an effective device for sharing lines and improving the utilization rate of lines.

The ST368 effectively utilizes RS485, RF-LORA media for downlink communication to smart meters and GPRS, 3G, DSL and fiber uplink communication.
