DESCRIPTION

BAI YUN SS601 Construction&Glazing Silicone Sealant is a universal construction silicone sealant. It overcomes the disadvantages of acetoxy curing silicone sealant such as unpleasant odor, corrosion to metal and coated glass. SS601 can substitutes acetoxy curing silicone sealant for sealing joints and has more widely application.

USABLE LIFE AND STORAGE

When stored at or below 27ºC (80ºF) in the original unopened containers, BAI YUN SS601 Construction&Glazing Silicone Sealant has a usable life of 12 months from the date of manufacture.

LIMITATIONS

BAI YUN SS601 Construction&Glazing Silicone Sealant should not be used, applied or recommended:

Ÿ In structural glazing applications or where the sealant is intended as an adhesive.

Ÿ In areas where abrasion and physical abuse are encountered.

Ÿ In totally confined spaces as the sealant requires atmospheric moisture for cure.

Ÿ On frost-laden or damp surfaces

Ÿ To building materials that bleed oils, plasticizers or solvents – materials such as impregnated wood, oil-based caulks, green or partially vulcanized rubber gaskets or tapes.

Ÿ In below-grade applications

Ÿ Where movement capability greater than ±12.5% is required.

Ÿ Where painting of the sealant is required, as the paint film may crack and peel

Ÿ For structural adhesion on bare metals or surfaces subject to corrosion (i.e., mill aluminum, bare steel, etc.)

Ÿ To surfaces in contact with food

Ÿ For use underwater or in other applications where the product will be in continuous contact with water.

Ÿ New concrete must be allowed to cure and dry for at least 7 days of good drying weather.
