HFW fin tube stands for High-Frequency Welded finned tube. It's a type of heat transfer tube used in applications like boilers, air coolers, economizers, and heat exchangers where extended surface area is needed to improve heat transfer between fluids (usually gas and liquid).

A HFW fin tube is made by:

1. Forming a continuous metal strip (the fin) around the base tube.

2. Welding the fin to the tube using high-frequency electric resistance welding.

The process ensures a strong metallurgical bond between the fin and the tube — making it highly resistant to thermal stress, vibration, and mechanical wear.
