Use safely
For steam application, it is recommended to use rubber hoses with fittings assembled with safety clamps. Over time, material (rubber) exposed to steam gradually loses its natural elasticity causing leakage or even rupture of the fitting, often with catastrophic effects. Fittings attached by safety clamps can be re-tightened over the hose service life. For safety reasons, we caution against using rubber hoses with fittings permanently crimped with ferrules.
