Hot forming should be performed within a temperature range between 1600 Degree F and 2250 Degree F (870 Degree C – 1230 Degree C) with heavier sections heated to a minimum of 2000 Degree F before forming.

Parts which have been hot - formed should be solution heat - treated prior to final fabrication or installation, if possible. The high chromium content provides good resistance to oxidizing media while the molybdenum and tungsten content give good resistance to reducing media.
