Multi-pin Headers is also called Glass insulator.They are one of the most critical components for seal assemblies. Dielectrics and supporting materials are made of glass with low dielectric constant and low dielectric loss.
Both inner conductor(pin/contact) and outer conductor(ferrule/outer ring) are made of Kovar alloy and sintered at high temperature. The surface is plated with gold. Inner conductor has a variety of termination styles such as gold wire bonding, soldering and mating etc. Glass insulators are small, lightweight, hermetic, reliable and have been widespread in electronics manufacturing industries recent years.
