• chromium molybdenum vanadium steels, e.g. W.-nr. 1.4116 ( DIN X50CrMoV15 )
• nickel alloy martensitic chromium alloy steels, e.g. EN 1.4923 ( DIN X22CrMoNiV12-1 ), 1.4057 ( X17CrNi17-2 )

X50CrMoV15 - a special alloy for superb knives

50 0.5% carbon - the carbon content is significant for the sharpness
Cr Chromium for stain-resistant properities
Mo Molybdenum enhances the stain-resistant properities
V Vanadium for hardness and edge retention
15 Contents of chromium in % ( 15% )

Special characteristics

• high stain resistance
• easily restorable edge

This is a medium carbon martensitic stainless steel with moderate corrosion resistance
good strength and the ability to obtain and keep excellent hardness (Rc 56) and wear resistance.
