Choke Manifold

1. Application

The choke-line & kill-line manifolds are the essential well-control devices to control overflow and blow-out,and also to approach the balance pressure drilling .the choke-line manifolds is applicable for controlling casing pressure by use of pressure relief and blowout,and for maintaining the pressure balance inside the well bore and hence protecting the wellhead .the kill-line manifold is applicable for killing operation to pump the killing fluid into the down-hole,which prevents accidents from happening and insures production safety.

2. Configuration

The choke manifold consists of choke valves, gate valves, line pipes, fittings, pressure gauges and other components.

3. Working Principle

When well pressure rises, the choke valve (it falls into three kinds: Manually adjustable, hydraulic and positive) on choke manifold can be turned on and off to release the fluid to control casing pressure. Gate valve can be used for direct blowout. When casing pressure is pretty high,

The pressure class of our company's chokes manifold falls into five class: 14MPa, 21MPa, 35MPa, 70MPa and 105MPa. Also, we can design according to customer demand.

4. Specification

Pressure classes 5000psi, 10000psi, 15000psi. Can also be designed according to requirement of client.

Choke manifolds are manufactured according to API Spec 16C.
Working Pressure: 5,000psi ~ 15,000psi
Nominal Bore Size : 2 1/16 - 4- 1/16"

5. Operating Features of Our Choke Manifold:

1. The pressure gauge must be installed.
2. The working pressure of all components on the choke manifold shall be compatible with that of the BOP stack used.
3. The choke manifold shall be installed at the place where the operator can reach it easily. The pressure test must be performed prior to installation and the seat test pressure shall be equal to the rated working pressure.
4. The line pipe shall be level and straight as much as it could. In case of the turn of the line pipe, the 120 degree steel bent pipe shall be used. The bore of the line pipe shall be large enough.
5. In winter, the choke manifold can work under a low temperature condition.
