The formal name of blind disk is Flange cover, and some are also called blind flanges or pipe plugs.

It is a flange without a hole in the middle, which is used to plug the pipe opening. The function is the

same as that of the head and cap, except that the blind seal is a removable sealing device, and the

seal of the head is not ready to be opened. There are many types of sealing surfaces, including

planar, convex, concave and convex surfaces, tongue and groove surfaces and ring connection

surfaces. Materials include carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, copper, aluminum, PVC and PPR.

The blind plate is mainly used to completely isolate the production medium to prevent the shut-off valve

from being closed tightly, affecting production, and even causing accidents. The blind plate should be

set in the part where isolation is required, such as the equipment nozzle, before and after the shut-off

valve or between two flanges, and it is often recommended to use a figure 8 blind; Insert plates

(round blinds) can also be used for single-use parts such as pressing and purging.

From the appearance of the blind board, it is generally divided into a plate plate blind, a figure 8 blind,

a plug-in board, and a cushion ring (the plug-in board and the pad ring are blind to each other).

The blind plate plays the role of isolation and cutting, and the role of the head, pipe cap and welding

plug is the same. Due to its good sealing performance, it is generally used as a reliable means of

isolation for systems that require complete isolation. A plate flat blind is a solid circle with a handle

for systems that are normally isolated. The figure 8 blind plate, shaped like figure 8, is a blind plate

at one end and a throttle ring at the other end, but the diameter is the same as the pipe diameter

of the pipe, and does not play a throttling role. Figure 8 blind, easy to use, when isolation is required,

use the blind end, when normal operation is required, use the throttle ring end, but also can be used

to fill the installation gap of the blind plate on the pipeline. Another feature is the obvious marking and

easy identification of the installation status.
