These creepage gauges is required by conform to IEC 62196-1Ed.4CDV 2020 clause 28. They are used to determine the shortest path between two conductive parts, or between a conductive part and the bounding surface of the equipment, measured along the surface of the insulation, with specifications made according to the requirements.
