The purpose of polishing is to obtain a flat and smooth grinding surface. At this point, the grinding surface still has a very fine and uniform wear marks. There are two kinds of grinding: coarse grinding and fine grinding.

1. Coarse grinding is the modification of rough surfaces and irregular shapes.

2. After coarse grinding, there are still deep grinding marks on the metal surface, which need to be eliminated in fine grinding to prepare for polishing.
