Air spring structure

Air springs are non-metallic springs that are filled with air with a certain pressure in a flexible rubber bladder, and use the compressibility of air to achieve elastic effects. Air springs are mainly divided into two categories: bladder air springs and membrane air springs.
In today's mechanical design process, air springs have long been treated like gears and can be treated as standard parts, and the corresponding air springs can be selected according to the weight of the load and the geometric installation size.

1) The rubber body of the air spring is relatively light, and the air quality is also very small. Most of the weight of the air spring comes from the upper cover and the lower cover. Unlike the steel spring, the metal quality is relatively heavy.
2) The bearing capacity of the air spring can be adjusted according to the inflation pressure in the rubber air bag. For the same air spring, the inflation pressure can be adjusted to meet different bearing capacity requirements.
3) Since the air spring uses air as the elastic medium, when compressed, the internal friction is small, so the vibration isolation effect is better. In addition, air springs have a good ability to cancel noise because both air and rubber have a relatively weak ability to transmit sound.
4) The anti-fatigue ability of the air spring is relatively strong. The experiment shows that the number of stress cycles that the leaf spring can withstand under normal circumstances is 500,000 to 600,000 times, while the general air spring can reach about 3 million times. High-quality air springs The number of stress cycles that can be withstood can reach more than 5 million times. Therefore, the air spring is very effective in resisting strain.
