4. Applictaion of W-Ni-Fe Tungsten Nickel Iron Alloy Plate:
The most common and abundant tungsten-based heavy alloy is tungsten-nickel-iron alloy plate, which is utilized extensively. Sintered alloys are employed directly for typical purposes such as counterweights, radiation shielding devices, etc., however tungsten-nickel-iron alloys need deformation processing and heat treatment to achieve strengthening for applications needing high mechanical qualities.
(1) Tungsten-nickel-iron alloys are mainly used in the manufacture
of gyroscope rotors, guide devices and shock absorbers for aviation
and spacecraft;
(2) automatic watch weights, tool holders, boring bars, and die-casting molds for the manufacture of machinery;
(3) Switch contacts, rivet heads, and bullet cores with
armor-piercing properties for conventional weapons;
(4) It is also employed in the production of various radiation
shielding components, etc.
