Strainer basket screen construction
Most of the strainer basket screen is made of Perforated Sheet as a direct filter layer, or as a support layer connected to the bottom and top structure by welding.
Welding usually has three to four parts:
1: The middle part of the Perforated Sheet, the weld of this part
needs to be welded bypass and maintain the strength of the basket.
2: Connect the Perforated Sheet to the bottom. The welding of this
part still needs to be firm to prevent accidents when lifting heavy
objects.
3: Connect the perforated Sheet and the top, this part is mainly
for easy disassembly.
In some special cases, such as heavy-duty strainer basket screen, it is usually necessary to add special structures as support bars to improve stability.
Construction of Perforated Sheet
Perforated Sheet is usually a metal sheet with holes made of stainless steel or other materials by stamping.
Most importantly, the area of the opening can be selected from 15%-75%. The area of the hole is proportional to the thickness of the board surface. So the smaller the hole diameter, the thinner the sheet is usually used. When using the raw material of the basket screen, the Perforated Sheet must fully consider the filter area of the hole, the filter value of the opening and the strength range of the board surface.
The requirement to achieve a perfect balance is to meet the filter strength and filter value but use a moderately thin plate surface. Excessively thick Perforated Sheet will increase the production cost of the basket screen.
