Design Features

Anti-Blowout Stem Design

Stem seal integrity is achieved by the three o-rings (or two o-rings and a graphite gasket), which

can be interchanged with new ones under pressure on the line.

Emergency Sealant Injection System

The Sealant Injection System locates on the bonnet that can be utilized in case of emergencies,

o-ring damage and stem leakage occurs.

Emergency Seat Seal

Special sealants may be injected thru fittings located on the adapter flanges to restore sealing

integrity if damaged. A second internal check valve provides backup to the fitting.

Heavy Duty Bearings

The ball is supported by heavy duty coated Steel Bearings. Thrust load on the ball is

supported by large trunnions mounted within captured trunnion blocks for getting low operating

torque and durable seat.

Double Sealed shell Connections

Double o-rings or a o-ring and fireproof gasket on body/adapter connections ensure reliable sealing.

This makes the P3 suitable for above or below ground service.

Antistatic Device

Springs between the trunnion and the ball or the stem and the gland plate permit current switching

effect in all valve components.

Extend Stem

When the Fully Welded Ball valve is installed underground or buried, the valve stem can be lengthened.

The pressure relief valve, blowdown valve, and grease injection valve are also extended to appropriate positions.
