Screw conveyor is a kind of conveying equipment widely used in
chemical industry, building materials, grain and other departments,
mainly used for conveying powdery, granular and small pieces of
materials. It is not suitable for conveying perishable, viscous and
caking materials.
The screw conveyor is composed of three parts: the screw machine
body, the material inlet and outlet and the drive device.
The screw conveyor body is composed of head bearing, tail bearing,
suspension bearing, screw, casing, cover plate and base.
The driving device is composed of motor, reducer, coupling and
base.
Classification and structural characteristics
The types of screw conveyor include horizontal fixed screw conveyor and vertical screw conveyor. Horizontal fixed screw conveyor is a commonly used type. The vertical screw conveyor is used to lift materials in a short distance. The conveying height is generally not more than 8m. The spiral blade is solid surface type. It must have horizontal screw feeding to ensure the necessary feeding pressure.
Screw conveyor is generally divided into single drive and double drive. The length of single drive screw conveyor can reach 40m (oversize 30m), and the length of double drive screw conveyor can reach 80m (oversize 60m) by using the structure of middle broken shaft; The spiral blades of the screw conveyor have left and right rotation.
