CNC spring coilers are available with up to six axes to produce a variety of springs and wire forms. AIM equipment is high speed, precise, and durable. Direct servo drives are incorporated on each tooling axis to permit independent control of the tool positions with the touch of a button.

Grinding may be applied to compression and coil springs if the
design asks for it. The spring's ends are ground flat during the
grinding process, enabling it to stand upright and steadily when
positioned vertically.
A spring grinder is used for spring grinding. The two horizontal
grinding wheels on this machine are positioned so that the spring's
length can pass between them. The spring is held in place and
gradually moved between the two grinding wheels by a separate
component known as the spring dish.
As the plate moves, the ends of the spring make contact with the grinding wheels, grinding down the ends so the end surfaces are perpendicular to the sides of the spring. Once this is done, the spring dish releases the spring into a receiving box.
