The steel grade 1.4021(also called 420j1) is a high tensile strength martensitic stainless steel with good corrosion properties. The steel is machinable and suits good for production of details with good resistance to e.g. air water steam, freshwater, certain alkaline solutions and other mildly aggressive chemicals.
