MTW Tungsten Carbide Inserted Plow Blades are manufactured using the best quality sintered virgin tungsten carbide inserts available. Carbide inserts are brazed into a milled slot in the wearing edge of the blade to extend the life of the blade. The steel blade is primarily the “holder” for the carbide inserts which alone are too fragile to be used for plowing roadways.
