Carbon Steel Sheets ASTM A36 Steel Plate For Building Material
The types of steel plates are usually divided into three types: thick plates (over 6mm), medium-thick plates (3-6mm) and thin plates (below 3mm) according to their thickness. In terms of plate-making process, low-carbon steel plates can be divided into two types: cold-rolled and hot-rolled. Hot rolling alone can produce low-carbon steel plates of about 1.2mm and stainless steel plates of about 2mm. Thinner plates can be manufactured by cold rolling, annealing and tempering rolling.In comparison between steel plates, generally hot-rolled steel plates are slightly harder than cold-rail steel plates and have lower elongation. In the cold-rolled steel sheet, the higher the grade, the softer the steel, the lower the yield point, the larger the n value and the r value, and the larger the total elongation. In addition to the above-mentioned plastic deformation properties, in terms of elastic properties, the modulus of elasticity of steel plates is twice larger than that of aluminum plates.
