ASTM A36 covers carbon steel products including pipes, which can be used in the construction of bridges and buildings. The specified ASTM A36 Carbon Steel Seamless Pipe could also be used for customary structural purposes. The specification calls for the performance of a heat analysis on the products.ASTM A36 Seamless Pipe is evaluated using the tension test. Several parameters including the products tensile and yield strength besides its elongation properties are checked. These properties must conform to the expected tensile properties.
