Heat treatment
| Forging | Heat to 1150°C. Hold until uniform. Minimum forging temperature 850°C.Cool slowly in ashes or sand etc. | ||||||||

| Normalising | Heat to 870°C-900°C.Cool in still air. | ||||||||
