Copper Coated Micro Steel Fiber for Construction
Micro steel fiber Introduction
This micro steel fiber is made of copper wire.which is the most important materials of UHPC.
It has excellent tensile, bending and shearing strength, high tenacity,resistance against cracking,
impact and fatigue.
Micro steel fiber is widely used in the high speed railway slab, expressway, RPC coverplates and
UHPC constructional components
Specification of copper coated steel fiber for concrete:
| Micro Steel Fiber | Model | Diameter (mm) | Length (mm) | Aspect ratio (mm) | Tensile strength (MPa) | ||||
| YS-0.22*13 | 0.22 | 13 | 59 | >2500 | |||||
| YS-0.2*6 | 0.2 | 6 | 30 | >2500 | |||||
| YS-0.3*18 | 0.3 | 18 | 60 | >2500 | |||||
| YS-0.3*20 | 0.3 | 20 | 66 | >2500 | |||||
How and When the Fiber is Added
Typically the fibers are added at the batch plant, just after all
concrete aggregates are being mixed.
Some people would request to have the fiber added at the job site,
but then the QA/QC should have more
control on how much fiber is added. The steel fiber manufacturer
can provide guidance on how to mix and
the amount needed to obtain the desired results. Be aware that if
you add too much fiber,
it might show up at the surface when finishing the concrete so be
cautious about the amounts being mixed.
Where to Use Steel Fiber Concrete Floors
Typical applications for steel fiber can be found on parking lots,
playgrounds, airport runways,
maintenance hangars, access roads, and workshops. This method is
also widely used for port pavements,
container storage and handling areas, bulk storage warehouses, and
military warehouses,as it provides
additional flexural strength, reduces shrinkage cracking and reduces permeability.
