About Industrial air springs

Bellows cylinders not only serve a drive function, but can also be used as pneumatic spring elements. By pressurizing and exhausting, the bellows cylinder can realize the function as the driving element. As the stroke increases, the resulting force decreases relative to the retraction force of the bellows and can be used as a cushioning element if the bellows cylinder is supplied with a constant pressure. The structure of the cylinder is simple, consisting of two metal plates plus a reticulated airbag. There are no sealing elements, nor any moving mechanical elements. The airbag cylinder is a single-acting cylinder, but it does not need to be reset by spring force, but by external force.


Applications

Air springs, also known as pneumatic or air suspension systems, are used in a variety of applications for their ability to provide cushioning and vibration isolation.
