These needle roller bearings include a clutch in the assembly that move the bearing in a single direction. Their outer shell, or cup, serves as the outer-ring raceway. The cup is drawn from a strip of steel and case-hardened. These bearing and clutch assemblies are often used in conveyor applications that require movement in only one direction.
