The material is composed of copper alloy C70600, which has a chemical composition of approximately 90% copper, 10% nickel, and trace amounts of iron and manganese.


Copper-nickel alloys are known for their excellent resistance to corrosion and erosion in seawater and other harsh environments. They are also known for their good thermal conductivity and resistance to biofouling.
