What is Type 310S stainless steel?

SAE 310 stainless steel is a highly alloyed austenitic stainless steel used for high temperature application. The high chromium and nickel content give the steel excellent oxidation resistance as well as high strength at high temperature.

What is the difference between SS 310 and ss316?

The chemical composition of grades 310 and 316 are quite different; grade 310 contains 25% chromium and 20% nickel, while grade 316 contains 16-18% chromium, 10-14% nickel, 2-3% molybdenum, and trace amounts of phosphorus and sulfur.
