The NVIDIA® MFS1S50-H003V is a high-performance, low-latency Active Optical Cable (AOC) designed to split a single 200Gb/s QSFP56 port into two independent 100Gb/s QSFP56 connections. Ideal for high-speed data center interconnects, this optical fiber cable supports both InfiniBand HDR and 200GbE protocols, delivering reliable and power-efficient connectivity for modern hyperscale and enterprise data environments.
The MFS1S50 passive fiber cable alternative leverages VCSEL-based optical technology and complies with industry standards including SFF-8665, SFF-8636, and IBTA HDR. It features programmable Rx output amplitude, pre-emphasis, and Tx equalization for optimized signal integrity.
The AOC converts electrical signals from the host system into optical signals using integrated VCSEL transmitters. The optical signals are transmitted over four MMF pairs, split into two independent 100G streams, and converted back to electrical signals at the dual QSFP56 ends. Each end includes an EEPROM for identification and real-time health monitoring via I²C.
