The T22 alloy typically contains about 2.25% chromium and 1.0% molybdenum, along with small amounts of carbon, silicon, and manganese. This composition enhances its strength and resistance to heat. Grade T22 alloy steel has good properties: 1. high-Temperature Strength: can withstand temperatures up to 600°C (1112°F) without losing structural integrity. 2. creep Resistance: Excellent resistance to creep (deformation under constant load over time) at elevated temperatures. 3. weldability: Good weldability, allowing for various fabrication techniques. 4. ductility: Maintains ductility and toughness, making it less prone to brittleness even at high temperatures.
