is inflated. When inflating the cuff for the first time, the cuff
pressure pump inflates to a set pressure value, which is determined
by the measurement model. The cuff pressure pump inflates to a
pressure higher than the patient's systolic pressure. Depending on
the measurement method used, the inflation process is performed
once or repeated multiple times. When the cuff pressure is higher
than the systolic pressure, the artery is blocked and the pressure
sensor only detects the cuff pressure.
Deflate the cuff. The cuff pressure is automatically deflated
through the deflation system in an 8mmHg step until the pulsating
part is blocked. At this point, monitoring and processing of
pulsatile pressure shocks begins and continues as the cuff pressure
gradually decreases.

empirical values. The extrapolation process uses the decay rate of
the signal on either side of the maximum, and the invasive blood
pressure measurement can also be used as a reference to correlate
with no blood pressure.
