316H Stainless Steel Composition

UNS S31609 is composed of molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel developed for elevated-temperature applications. It has excellent corrosion resistance and creep strength. The addition of molybdenum provides greater corrosion resistance against chlorides and other industrial solvents, making it an ideal material for Inconel sheets used to foster a safe and secure environment in construction sites as well as various industrial settings. Its mechanical properties make it highly capable of handling high temperatures, thus making it suitable not just for Inconel sheets but also automotive, pressure vessels, nuclear power plants, heating, and cooling systems, engine exhausts manifolds, etc.
