1. Heat dissipation and cooling: The fan pump generates airflow by rotating the fan, introducing the surrounding cold air into the engine area, and taking away the heat generated by the engine. This helps maintain the engine's normal operating temperature range and prevent overheating.
2. Coolant circulation: The fan pump of the excavator usually also contains a water pump, which is used to draw coolant (usually a mixture of water and coolant) from the engine cooling system and send it to the fan. The coolant dissipates heat when it comes into contact with the air and is then circulated back to the engine, continuing to reduce engine temperature.
3. Cleaning effect: The air flow of the fan pump can also help remove dust, sand and other debris around the engine. If these debris accumulate on the engine, they may hinder heat dissipation and affect the normal operation of the engine.
4. Energy-saving function: By controlling the speed of the fan pump, the heat dissipation effect can be adjusted according to the engine temperature and load conditions, thereby achieving effective use of energy. For example, when the engine temperature is low or the load is light, the fan pump speed can be reduced to reduce energy consumption.
