NF P92-502 503 504 505 Building Material Melting Dripping Tester
Introduction:
NF505 Dripping Tester, in accordance with NF P92-505/ECE R118, is used to determine the melting behaviour of materials under a 500W radiant heat source.
During the NF P92-505 test, a specimen is placed horizontal and exposed to an electric radiator above. A receptacle is positioned under the specimen to collect the resultant drops. Some cotton wool is put in the receptacle in order to verify if any drop is flaming.
Application Field:
NF505 Dripping Tester consists of:
• France original epiradiator-type heat radiation source, power rated at 500W, which radiant surface is made of a translucent vitreous fused silica disk of 100 mm diameter.
• A movable handle device allows to slightly turn the epiradiator above the specimen or remove it.
• Specimen support stand, with height adjustment function.
• A receptacle is positioned 300mm under the specimen holder to collect the drops.
• A power control unit for epiradiator radiant rate control.
• Calorimeter in accordance with NF P92-505, for epiradiator calibration.
Water-cooled heat flux meter in accordance with ECE R118 Annex 7, for epiradiator calibration.
