Japan TELEC Certification Introduction:

TELEC is Japan’s mandatory certification for wireless products, also known as MIC certification, RF certification, GITEKI certification and technical fitness certification.

Radio Law requires that designated radio equipment be subject to type approval (i.e. technical regulation compliance certification). Japan’s certification for radio frequency equipment is called Radio Equipment Type Approval. The official regulatory agency is MIC ( Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications), the main certification authority is TELEC (Telecom Engineering Center) designated by MIC, as well as RF Technologies/JQA/SGS/ITS/TUV/UL, etc., a total of 12 Issuing agency.

Applicable product range:

TELEC certification is for wireless radio frequency products including: Bluetooth products, ZigBee products, telemeters, WiFi products, wireless microphones, pagers, LTE·RFID (2.4GHz, 920MHz) products, UWB radio systems, GSM products, etc.

Certification process:

1. Prepare samples and application materials and submit application.

2. LCS conducts the test and issues a report.

3. Submit reports to MIC accredited agencies.

4. Certification issued by an organization recognized by MIC.

Authorization

Moreover, LCS won many authorized qualifications both domestic and overseas. LCS is recognized as IEC/ISO17025 laboratories accepted by CNAS and NVLAP, accredited by CPSC, CMA, accredited for CQC, ISTA, CBTL, SASO, SABS. Meanwhile LCS become laboratory authorized by TUV, BQTF issued by the SIG. LCS had also signed cooperation agreements with FCC, ISED, ETL, CEC, UL, E-Mark, CETECOM, KTC, SAA Approval and many other authoritative institutions, hence we can provide our clients with efficient and professional service for product test and certification.
