How is silicon metal mined?

First, the ore is crushed, pulverized, and chemically leached to extract the silicon from the quartz. Then, the purified silicon is subjected to a reduction reaction to reduce the silicon to silicon metal by the reduction method. Subsequently, the silicon metal is obtained in a liquid state and can be subjected to subsequent processes such as pumping, solidification and molding to finally obtain the finished silicon metal.

It should be noted that the mining process of silicon metal needs to take into account the protection of the environment and resources. In the mining stage, effective dust control, water washing, solid waste treatment and other measures need to be taken to reduce the impact on the surrounding environment. In the smelting process, it is necessary to do a good job in the treatment and recycling of harmful waste gas to reduce the pollution of the atmosphere.
