Description: The Allen-Bradley 1769-PA2 is a 1769 CompactLogix Power Supply. This Power Supply has an input voltage range of 85 – 265VAC, operating at a nominal input of 120V/220V AC. It has a Current capacity of 2.0A at 5.0V and 0.8A at 24VDC.

The Allen-Bradley 1769-PA2 is a CompactLogix I/O power supply. This power supply is primarily used as I/O power supply, installed in a CompactLogix assembly or to an expansion I/O bank. It provides power to the modules attached on both direction of the module installed to a system in consideration to the required Power Supply distance rating.

When installed along a CompactLogix controller assembly, Compact I/O modules may be installed on both sides of the power supply as the power supply can supply power on both directions as well as the Power supply distance rating may also be counted in both ways. Up to Eight (8) 1769 modules may be installed on both sides of this power supply.

Required input voltage range for this power supply is 85-265VAC with frequency of 47-63 Hz. It has a current capacity of 2.0A at 5VDC and 0.8A at 24VDC. This module is equipped with an internal fuse which may be replaced with Wickmann 19195-3.15A or Littelfuse 02183.15MXP.

This power supply has a dimension of 118 x 70 x 87 mm (4.65 x 2.76 x 3.43 in.) and an approximate weight of 525 g (1.16 lb). As standard to CompactLogix platform, this power supply module also support installation to a DIN or directly to a mounting plate.

This power supply is UL Listed for Class 1, Division 2 Group A,B,C,D Hazardous Locations, certified for U.S. and Canada. See UL File E10314, Australian Radiocommunications Act, compliant with: AS/NZS CISPR 11; Industrial Emissions and European Union 2004/108/EC EMC Directive compliant.

The 1769-PA2 is a 1769 CompactLogix Power supply, manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This power supply has a current capacity of 0.8A at 24 VDC.

When installing the Allen-Bradley 1769-PA2, an adjacent space of 50 millimeters must be left between it and nearby equipment in order to ventilate it properly. Also, when mounting the power supply module, make sure that no static, UV radiation, or debris will touch the module during installation or operation. Excessive heat must be avoided since this could cause damage to the whole power supply module. When the ambient temperature is excessively high, several ventilation methods must be applied. The 1769-PA2 module is an open power supply that has no enclosure.
The Allen-Bradley 1769-PA2 power supply can also be mounted on a DIN rail. An important thing to note when installing this power supply module is that it needs to be grounded. When connecting the module, a 14 AWG wire must be used and the leads must be kept as short as possible. The recommended wire type is a copper wire with a resistance of at least 90 degrees Celsius. It is recommended to place the Allen-Bradley 1769-PA2 compact I/O expansion power supply in an enclosure that protects the module from a corrosive atmosphere or contaminants that might come from the open air. If it is used in an enclosure, the use of air conditioners is recommended to combat the heat around the enclosure. The Allen-Bradley 1769-PA2 compact I/O expansion power supply comes with a fuse that offers protection against abnormal line transients and short-circuit currents. The 1769-PA2 module runs on 120 to 240 Volts of AC input power at a frequency between 47 and 63 Hertz. This power supply weighs only 2 pounds and it only measures 8 x 8 x 5 inches, making it easy to ship.
