The 3300 XL System is primarily used in regions where counter bore, sideview, or rearview constraints prevent the use of normal Bently Nevada 3300 and 3300 XL 5 and 8 mm Transducer Systems. It is also suited for detecting radial vibration on shafts smaller than 51 mm (2 in) or axial position on flat targets smaller than 15 mm (0.6 in).

• It is primarily employed on fluid-film bearing machines with a tiny shaft or a reduced side-view in the Measurements of radial vibration and position, Measurements of axial (thrust) position, tachometer readings and zero-speed measurements, The phase reference (Keyphasor signals) etc.
• Because of the design of the 3300 XL System, it can replace both the 3300 RAM Transducer Systems and the 3000-series or 7000-series 190 Transducer System. Upgrades from 3300 RAM to 3300 XL NSv may use the same probe, extension cable, and monitoring system with 3300 XL NSv Proximitor Sensor. Upgrades from the 3000-series or 7000-series Transducer System must use NSv components to replace the probe, extension cable, and Proximitor Sensor.
