1, Basic principles
Lithium substituted lead-acid batteries achieve the charging and
discharging process through the insertion and extraction of lithium
ions between the positive and negative electrodes. During charging,
lithium ions are released from the positive electrode material and
embedded into the negative electrode material through the
electrolyte; When discharging, the opposite is true. Lithium ions
return from the negative electrode to the positive electrode, and
electrons flow in the external circuit to form a current, thereby
supplying power to external devices. Unlike lead-acid batteries
that undergo a chemical reaction between lead and sulfuric acid,
this charging and discharging method endows lithium-ion lead-acid
batteries with higher energy conversion efficiency.

2, Performance characteristics
High energy density
The energy density of lithium-ion lead-acid batteries is
significantly improved compared to traditional lead-acid batteries.
For example, the energy density of lithium-ion batteries is usually
between 100-265Wh/kg, while the energy density of lead-acid
batteries is generally between 30-50Wh/kg. This means that under
the same weight, lithium-ion lead-acid batteries can store more
electrical energy. For power supply applications, they can meet
more electricity needs with smaller volume and weight, especially
suitable for power supply scenarios that require space and weight,
such as mobile power supply devices or distributed energy storage
systems.
High charging and discharging efficiency
The charging and discharging efficiency of lithium-ion lead-acid

efficiency of lead-acid batteries is generally between 70% and 80%.

energy loss during the charging process, and the equipment can be
powered more effectively during discharge, reducing energy waste

High quality lithium-ion lead-acid batteries can easily achieve a
cycle life of over 1000-2000 times, while lead-acid batteries
typically have a cycle life of around 300-500 times. Long cycle
life makes lithium lead-acid batteries more cost-effective during
long-term use, reducing the hassle and cost of frequent battery
replacement, and suitable for situations that require long-term
stable power supply, such as backup power systems.
